Conwy family loved travel so much…this is what they did

A family loved travelling so much…they set up their own holiday business.

Sian Ramessur and her two grown up daughters Fay and Jo have been around the world to feed their passion for travel.

So when they were looking for a business idea there was only one option and Travel Inspirations was formed.

They were thrown in at the deep end with the first trip they organised, a stag do to Benidorm for 20 friends.

There are around 260 job opportunities in the region with www.fish4.co.uk/jobs/north-wales

Sian, 68, who had a career in social work, said: “We are all well travelled and it is a real passion for the whole family.

“Between us we have been to most parts of the world.

“We never thought we could do our own business but then we saw a Global Travel stand at a travel conference that offered business opportunities.

“We wanted a different challenge and went for it.”

Sian, from Colwyn Bay, works full time on the business from home while Fay, 38, and Jo, 47, continue with their jobs in the police and NHS and work in the family holiday firm in their spare time.

“They have been running the business for just over 12 months and have already booked scores of holidays.

“They take the personal touch, meeting clients in many cases to fully understand what they want from a holiday so they can give them the perfect trip.”

Fay said: “Our most challenging was probably the first holiday, 20 lads on a stag do to Benidorm.

“It was a steep learning curve, you feel so responsible, it’s like sending your children off to school! They came home safe though and we learnt so much.

“We also did a honeymoon and this was again a worry because we wanted it to be perfect for them. We want to create memories that last forever.”

She added: “The fact we have been to so many places means we can really tell people about a place.”

Sian added: “This was 18 months in the planning and we went slow to start with to get this right and be sure to give customers the best experience. It has paid off because now people are coming back to us.”

They now plan to keep on expanding and sending more and more people on the holiday of their dreams.
