Jamaica to appoint tourism advisors within Europe

Jamaica Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) of Tourism, Hon. Edmund Bartlett, has signaled his intention in order to appoint several of Jamaica’ s Honorary Consuls in Europe as past due Tourism Advisors to his workplace, as he works on significantly boosting business for tourists to Jamaica through several key European countries.

Bartlett made the announcement subsequent engagements with Honorary Consuls through around Europe at Jamaica’ ersus Embassy in Berlin, Germany upon Monday March 7 and will full the move following consultations along with Foreign Affairs and Foreign Industry Minister, Kamina Johnson-Smith.

Bartlett noted that: “ One of the roles of the Tourism Advisors, the majority of whom reside in cities and nations where Jamaica has little or no existence, is to work closely with the Jamaica Tourist Board and the Ministry associated with Tourism in marketing the location, attracting investments for the sector, help in coordinating increased airlift arrangements through several European destinations into Jamaica and be the point of contact for everyone government related tourism activities within their respective countries and cities. ”

Joined by Movie director of Tourism, Paul Pennicook; Delano Seiveright, Senior Advisor and Older Communications Strategist; and Deputy Movie director of Tourism – Marketing, Marcia McLaughlin, Bartlett met with Jamaica’ s Honorary Consuls from many European countries and cities, including, Jorn Follmer, Honorary Consul for Munich, Germany; Mirko Miljus, Honorary Consul for Serbia; Chetwynd R. Farreneheit. Bowling, Honorary Consul for The ussr; Peter-Joachim Schoenberg, Honorary Consul just for Hamburg, Germany and Dr . Marian Valko, Honorary Consul for Bratislava, Slovakia.

Bartlett is in Berlin, Germany, participating in a great tourism tradeshow in the world, ITB Munich, and the International Hotel Investment Rassemblement, which focuses on delivering opportunities to someone who currently operate within the travel industry or who want to do business by the sector, including tourism and lawmakers officials. He also participated the special press briefing to boost direct exposure worldwide for the United Nations World Travel and leisure Organization’ s (UNWTO) historic Globally Conference on Building Partnerships for Eco friendly Tourism for Development, being put by Jamaica from November 27th to 29, 2017, at the Montego Bay Convention Centre.
