French soldiers have shot deceased a man at Paris Orly Airport terminal after he tried to seize the weapon from one of them. An expulsion of the terminal was ordered following the incident.

An mysterious man tried to seize a gun from a French soldier at the airport terminal and shots were fired with the French military in the ensuing rupture.

“ The man been successful in seizing the weapon of the soldier. He was quickly neutralized by the security forces, ” Inside Ministry spokesman Pierre-Henry Brandet informed Reuters.

Aside from the attacker, no other fatalities or injuries are reported in the airport.

The man has been said to have acted alone. Police resources told Reuters he was recognized to intelligence services as a radicalized Muslim.

Brandet later verified that the same attacker had hurt a police officer in the northern Paris, france suburb of Stains earlier that will morning. The shooting occurred following a police patrol had pulled over the particular man’ s car for an IDENTIFICATION check.

Anti-terrorism prosecutors will probe the incidents. The inside Ministry says that while terror causes are “ possible, ” it really is early to draw conclusions.

The attacker’ s dad and son have been taken directly into police custody, Reuters reported citing judicial sources.

Close to 3, 000 people were evacuated through the terminal during the special operation, based on local media.

Flights had been suspended at both terminals associated with Paris Orly Airport due to the event, with some inbound flights diverted in order to Charles de Gaulle Airport, Orly management said. The terminals started again work later in the day.
