The Houston Airport System provides partnered with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) upon numerous projects to enhance the performance of the Houston airspace, including the Houston Metroplex project. The project launched changes to airspace design plus procedures for airports in the Houston region. These changes included forty-nine additions, 11 modifications and twenty removals of various types of arrival plus departure procedures. It also included advancement new Performance Based Navigation methods, as well as expanded use of Time Centered Flow Management.
