The press conference and a beverage reception at the Seychelles stand, that was attended by the Secretary General from the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Taleb Rifai, were both arranged in collaboration with Air Seychelles.
ITB Berlin, that is said to be the world’ s biggest tourism trade fair, was held through March 8 to 12 within Germany.
Speaking in the press conference, the Chief Executive from the Seychelles Tourism Board (STB), Sherin Francis, said the German marketplace is already performing extremely well and is extremely buoyant.
“ Using the twice-weekly Dü sseldorf flight, it could only get better! The positive development within air connectivity has created a lot of enjoyment in the market, ” she added.
“ We look forward to working with the Air Seychelles team and with a person our German partners to ensure that all of us achieve the most from this new link. ”
It is important to remember that the support of airline companions is needed to ensure that the successful functionality of the Seychelles’ tourism industry. STB values their support and makes sure that the relationship remains a strong one, Mrs. Francis said.
“ Discussions held and plans put with the different partners will surely assist in maintaining the positive momentum of the sector for the rest of the year. ”
She added that the presence from the Seychelles’ delegation at ITB had been to further cement the ties which have bound Seychelles to the German marketplace since the outset of the country’ t tourism industry.
“ It is indeed encouraging to see which our much-valued German market continues to execute, as the recent batch of website visitor arrival figures shows. In 2016, Seychelles enjoyed yet another record calendar year for tourism arrivals, finally smashing through the 300, 000-visitor ceiling, plus early in 2017, we observed a truly ground-breaking increase in arrivals associated with over 30%. ”
In this troubled, unsettled world associated with ours, Seychelles remains an oasis of calm and tranquility whilst our reputation for being the property of perpetual summer is still unchanged, she added.
Mrs. Francis concluded by thanking the particular team from Seychelles who were area of the delegation.
Aside from the push conference, Mrs. Francis was also evaluated by Martina Feyerherd from fvw Magazine, a specialist magazine for travel and leisure and business travel.
In a second interview, Mrs. Francis met Eike Knall from The Radio stations Group, which was founded in 3 years ago on the basic premise of providing listeners with local radio.
The Radio Group operates fifteen radio stations with more than 100 employees. Every station is unique to the market it really is located in and employs local atmosphere talent.
