South west Airlines is following a worldwide marketplace trend to replace ageing aircraft along with new fuel-efficient airplanes.
The airline announced it will start operation of its new Boeing 737MAX8 starting October 1 of this season.
In the first 7 days of service, 9 of these brand new aircraft will start air service to 20 cities that Southwest lures to in the United States. A 10th 737MAX8 will begin flying the week from then on.
This particular aircraft enables the airline to add lengthier plane tickets to its schedule, as its effectiveness means it can fly farther compared to aircraft currently being used.
