Over 250 iconic attractions and sites around the world will be lighted green over the coming days – as part of Tourism Ireland’ s 2017 Global Greening initiative to commemorate the island of Ireland plus St Patrick.
The particular annual initiative, now in its 8th year, which sees a host of main landmarks around the world turn green regarding St Patrick’ s Day, is growing from strength to strength, numerous new landmarks signing up to take component this year.
Stadiums, figurines, castles and towers will go eco-friendly to celebrate our national day time (17 March) with exciting enhancements for 2017 including the One Entire world Trade Center in New York – the main building of the re-built Globe Trade Center in New York as well as the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere.
