Thousands of domestic tour providers, travel organizers and agencies through across the country are preparing to converge on the British Tourism & Travel Display – the largest domestic tourism display for the UK and Ireland’ s i9000 travel trade – next week upon 22-23 March, at the NEC Liverpool.

“ This is my favourite show, which I go to each year without fail. It’ s the very best travel trade show, packed filled with inspiration, new products and big name visitor speakers. The two days enables you to talk to many suppliers and attractions personally, and I always come away along with exciting new ideas for excursions, ” says Joanna Watson, expert tours manager at Rondo Vacation.

In celebration of England’ s historic houses and landscapes, the show is featuring a renewed feature area, which will showcase traditional attractions from across the British Isles – offering a wealth of suggestions and inspiration for a range of team trips and tours. These include: Waterperry Gardens, Hudson’ s Historic Homes & Gardens, National Trust – Canons Ashby, Dartington Hall, plus Llancaiach Fawr Manor.
Returning regional pavilions include: Encounter Scotland; Tourism South East; Check out Wales – who are celebrating the entire year of Legends, with attractions, occasions and activities at locations throughout Wales; and Tourism Ireland – who will be highlighting iconic encounters along the Wild Atlantic Way plus throughout Ireland’ s Ancient Eastern.
Tourism for All’ s Accessibility Clinic
Accessibility is fast becoming a precious and growing market in travel and leisure. New for 2017, national charitable organisation Tourism for All is running a good ‘ Accessibility Clinic’ during the display (stand G66/G67). Expert accessibility advisor and assessor, Brian Seaman is going to be on hand to give advice on accessibility problems and will provide hints and tips on how to enhance the service and facilities for impaired customers.
“ The business enterprise case for accessibility has become extensively understood in the last few years, and this offers led destinations such as Germany, Flanders, Spain (Barcelona) and Portugal to enhance their accessibility. This in turn is motivating other destinations, including the UK, to boost their game, ” says Raymond Veal, CEO of Tourism for any UK.
“ Coming together, we can ‘ take the disability out’ of leisure and tourism, plus achieve our goal of Travel and leisure for ALL, ” he says.

The show will feature 260 leading visitor attractions, venues, locations, hotels, transport providers, associations plus DMOs. Recent exhibitors to join the particular line-up include: Bombay Sapphire Distillery, Visit Cardiff, Visit Cornwall, Go to Hull & East Yorkshire, Entire world of Beatrix Potter, Lucketts Journey, Irish Ferries, Leeds Kirkgate Marketplace, and Spencer House.

This particular year’ s extensive free workshop line-up features a host of idol speakers discussing the key issues, op-opportunities and hot topics facing the particular domestic tourism sector today.
