Dubai: A total of 250,589 patients visited Dubai Health Authority’s specialised clinics at Dubai, Latifa, Rashid and Hatta hospitals in the first six months of this year, officials have revealed.

Dubai Hospital’s specialised clinics were visited by 115,993 patients, while 55,563 patients visited specialised clinics in Rashid Hospital, 46,728 visited clinics in Hatta Hospital and 32,305 visited clinics in Latifa Hospital.
The authority (DHA) also revealed that 79,053 patients visited emergency departments of these hospitals during the period — 21,884 visited Rashid Hospital, 39,014 Dubai Hospital, 16,379 Latifa Hospital and 1,776 Hatta Hospital.
As many as 78,986 patients visited DHA outpatient clinics in these hospitals in the first six months — 37,404 patients in Rashid Hospital, 17,357 in Latifa Hospital, 15,533 in Dubai Hospital and 8,692 in Hatta Hospital.
A total of 38,042 patients were admitted in these hospitals during this period — 14,962 in Dubai Hospital, 13,560 in Latifa Hospital, 7,914 in Rashid Hospital and 1,606 in Hatta Hospital.
A spokesperson said all DHA hospitals have a high occupancy rate and “this reflects the quality of services and the trust that we have built among our patients”. At the DHA, the utmost priority is patient-centric care and the authority is continuing to expand its series as well as provide specialised and super-specialised care.
The DHA spokesperson further emphasised that the organisation will continue to expand its health services to keep up with population growth. The projects will enhance geographical access to health care. As per the DHA’s Health Strategy, the authority will focus on preventive care as well as specialised care.
