295 kiosks in Dubai to pay traffic fines
Dubai: Police are encouraging the public to pay outstanding traffic fines from 2016 and earlier to get a 50 per cent discount if paid through 295 kiosks in Dubai and other channels, Dubai Police said on Tuesday.
Major General Mohammad Saad Al Shareef, Assistant Commander of Administration Affairs in Dubai Police, said drivers can pay their fines by cash or credit cards in cooperation with Max Box Middle East company and five banks in addition to 120 branches of Emirate Posts.
He said people can also pay the fines through 800 kiosks in other emirates.
“I urge the public to benefit from this service to pay their fines in a quick and simple way. Our aim is to make the people living in the UAE happy by paying their fines in no time,” Maj-Gen Al Shareef said during a press conference.
He said drivers should benefit from the order.
“The order came on the occasion of the Year of Giving. The 50 per cent reduction in fines does not cover violations committed in 2017. Drivers should pay their fines before the discount [offer] ends by our official channels and the kiosks, which is in all malls. Fine payment can also be done online on Dubai police website,” Maj-Gen Al Shareef said.
Fine payments can also be done online, through UAE bank sites and RTA centres, and the discounts will be automatically set when paying the fines.
