Carnival Corporation & plc has made an announced that it has successfully installed Starlink’s high-speed, low-latency global internet connectivity on all of their ships across the global fleet. This installation has greatly improved the onboard experience for both guests and crew members. With this upgrade, Carnival can now offer faster service, increased capacity, and more reliable Wi-Fi on their fleet of over 90 ships.
The implementation of Starlink is just one of the many innovative investments that Carnival Corporation has made in recent years. In fact, their efforts have quadrupled the fleetwide bandwidth since 2019, solidifying their position as a leader in the industry when it comes to connectivity.
This upgrade brings the onboard connectivity experience on par with what guests and crew members would expect on land. They can now stay connected anywhere in the world, whether it’s sharing pictures and videos, scrolling through social media, streaming live content, or even working remotely. The additional bandwidth also enhances the operational and communications capabilities of each ship, allowing for continuous equipment monitoring, real-time connectivity, and data sharing between the ship and shore teams. Furthermore, it provides the flexibility to quickly introduce new guest services and features, even while at sea.
