When Meatloaf passionately performed his 1970s hit “Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad,” he might have been alluding to Tasmania’s Three Capes Track. This renowned trail, situated on the rugged edge of the Australian continent, was inaugurated in 2015 and showcases breathtaking landscapes, rich biodiversity, historical landmarks, and, as its name suggests, three remarkable capes.

Until recently, guided excursions explored only two of these capes—Cape Pillar and Cape Hauy—providing merely distant views of Cape Raoul. In Meatloaf’s words, that might not be considered inadequate.

This December, nearly nine years after the Three Capes Track was launched, the Tasmanian Walking Company (TWC) will complete the final segment of the trail, introducing the Three Capes Adventure Walk.

This new offering will include an extra night’s accommodation, a fresh trail, and, most significantly, access to the last promontory in its Three Capes Signature Walk. This development will enable guests on guided tours to finally set foot on all three iconic landmarks: Cape Pillar, Cape Hauy, and Cape Raoul.
