Airbus making paper planes, taking part in Guinness World Record Attempt

March 5-11 is Women of Aviation Week Worldwide (WOAW). Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility employees will be taking part in the Women of Aviation Worldwide Week’s Guinness World Record Attempt – Pink Paper Plane Challenge to show their support of women in the aviation industry worldwide.

WHEN: Thursday, March 8, 2018
Plane throw takes place promptly at 11:00 a.m. CST (necessary to help meet the record)

WHERE: Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility
320 Airbus Way (Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley)

Last year, 12,700 Pink Paper Planes were needed to set a new record on March 8, 2017. With only 10,673 Pink Paper Planes launched globally, the effort fell short. So WOAW is trying again!
