Barkat heads international tourism campaign for Judea and Samaria

A new international campaign by former Jerusalem mayor Nir Barkat and the Yesha Council of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria is seeking to change the trend of tourism in the region as well as the Jordan Valley, through a call on tourists from all over the world to come and stay in there.

The slogan chosen for the campaign is “Connect within the roots” and its purpose is to express the tremendous historical value of the State of Israel, especially in this region. The campaign is expected to expose millions to the heritage sites, to the biblical historical story and to the deep connection of the Jewish people to the region, and to increase overnight stays by at least 50 percent from the current annual figure of 120,000, and is mostly aimed at those who love Israel.
