Dubai: A video showing the son of a former Indian parliamentarian, waving a gun and hurling abuses at a couple of outside a five-star hotel in Delhi, today went viral online in India.
Many users called out the &ldquo Twitter;}VIP brat” in “pink pants”, and requested Delhi Police to soon arrest him.

The,} the son of Ritesh Pandey, a former Person in Parliament (MP) of India’s Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). The Delhi Police have booked Ashish Pandey following the video was widely shared on social media marketing.
The video has been shot on a cellular phone by someone accompanying Pandey in his car.
According to Indian news broadcast channel, NDTV: “A look-out circular, which alerts the authorities at borders, railway and airports stations in regards to a wanted man, has been issued.”
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs of India, Kiren Rijiju reacted to the news headlines on Twitter and posted: “Strong and appropriate action will be taken.”
The minister also added an First Information Report (FIR) has been registered under Arms Act and Indian Penal Code (IPC) by the Delhi Police.
A woman sometimes appears in the video, joining the accused to intimidate the couple. Rijiju confirmed that the authorities were looking at the verification of the identities of others involved.
@DeepikaBhardwaj tweeted: “Ashish Pandey who flashed his gun at a hotel in Delhi has to be called out for certain. But why no outrage contrary to the woman…? She was as abusive as Pandey. Shouldn’t she be summoned aswell?”
According to a Twitter update by the news headlines agency @ANINewsUP: “Lucknow police finds the residence of Ashish Pandey, son of former BSP MP Rakesh Pandey, on October 14 who was simply seen brandishing a gun outside a five-star hotel in Delhi.”
Tweep @ifrahul92 posted: “Ashamed over our political system, that is unable to grab the #VVIPbrat who tried to [create] ruckus in the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT). #AshishPandey”
Twitter user @irobertvadra questioned the federal government and the problem of law and order in Delhi.
He posted: “I must say i fear for the safety of our people and children of Delhi, the administrative centre of our country. What’s the statutory law and order prevailing? And, who’s accountable? Gets the chief minister seen what’s existing? And, will they take a merchant account of the insane behaviour with profanity and guns? God help us!”
