Building an ecological and livable city
For a long time, Chengdu has been known as “a city that you do not want to leave”. It has completely changed the opening pattern of the cities not by the sea and border, and Chengdu has thus become a leading position inland for China’s westward and southward opening. On September 19 this year, the MOU on Rail-Prague Non-stop Train of Chengdu-Europe Express Rail (China-Europe Freight Trains) was signed in Prague, a marker of Chengdu-Europe Express Rail to further widen the opening cooperation as an international logistics passage along the Belt and Road, opening a handy and efficient new channel for foreign trade and economic cooperation.
Inheriting and developing the Tianfu culture
Innovation and creation are the inherent cultural genes of Chengdu. In history, Chengdu built the world’s earliest dam-free water division project — Dujiangyan Irrigation System which is still used today, and invented the world’s earliest paper money.
