Cluster of crashes on Auckland motorways causes disruptions to travel times
Auckland’s motorway commuters are being welcomed by delays and traffic jams following a number of cleared crashes and breakdowns.
Southbound traffic is heavy on the Southwestern Motorway between Walmsley Rd and Portage Rd due to a crash which is now clear of lanes.
Meanwhile, northbound traffic is heavy between Cavendish Dr and the Portage Rd overbridge, again between Bader Dr and Nelson St.
On the Northern Motorway, traffic levels are surging between moderate to heavy between Onewa Rd and the Upper Harbour Highway, again Silverdale heading northbound.
Citybound traffic is heavy between Greville Rd and Upper Harbour Highway, again between Northcote Rd and the Harbour Bridge.
Southern Motorway traffic is heavy between the City and Mt Wellington for southbound motorists and is slow between Te Irirangi Drive and Takanini.
Citybound traffic is heavy between Mt Wellington and Market Rd on the Southern.
There is heavy congestion on the Northwestern Motorway between Great North Rd and Lincoln Rd, meanwhile, citybound traffic is queuing for the Northern Link.
