Cologne Bonn Airport welcomed the inaugural flight of its new airline partner, Ellinair on 8 April. Operated by its A319s, the new three times weekly service to Thessaloniki will be the German airport’s second link to Greece’s second largest city.
“We are very happy to welcome our new Greek airline partner, Ellinair. The carrier’s service strengthens our connections to one of this year’s most important tourist markets,” says Michael Garvens, Chairman of the Management Board, Cologne Bonn Airport.
Serving 38 cities in 11 countries, Ellinair will link Cologne Bonn to the airport’s sixth largest country market. As a result of the airline’s introduction on the city pair, capacity to Thessaloniki will increase by 37%, giving the city the most weekly frequencies and seats of all Greek services from Cologne Bonn.
