Depok will pay for malnourished kids to go to health centers
In an effort to rid the region of child malnutrition, the Depok administration is encouraging its residents to take their kids to community health centers (Puskesmas) by covering travel expenses of Rp 50,000 (US$3.43).

The relative head of the household health insurance and nutrition unit at the Depok Health Agency, Eti Rohati, said some residents were reluctant to take care of their malnourished children because they did not can pay for to take them to a Puskesmas.
“We’re facing difficulty in encouraging parents to take their children to a Puskesmas as a result of economic issue […] They finally decided to take their kids to Puskesmas directly after we bore the expense of trips,” On Wednesday as quoted by  eti said;kompas.com.
Eti added that the agency actively monitored the recovery of malnourished children at their houses weekly. (cal)
