Dubai Tourism Restates Commitment to Nollywood at ‘Chief Daddy’ Premiere
In further demonstration of its commitment to the growth of Nigeria’s movie industry called Nollywood, Dubai’s Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing (DTCM), partnered leading production company, EbonyLife Films, for the premiere of its highly anticipated movie ‘Chief Daddy.’
Explaining the DTCM’s support for the EbonyLife and movie Film, Dubai Tourism’s Head of Campaign Management for Africa, Salim Ali Mohammed Dahman, said it had been consistent with its mission to greatly help raise the Nigerian film industry, and encourage local talents while showcasing the wonder of Dubai to Nigerians among the leading people to magnificent city in United Arab Emirates.

“Nigeria is really a key source market for Dubai in Africa. We firmly think that you will find a wealth of talent within the African community and we have been pleased and honored to possess been given the chance to aid Nollywood, the world’s third largest movie industry entertaining thousands of people and generating income for key players.
“This partnership with EbonyLife Films aligns with this objective of nurturing talents along with assisting to forge ties with Nigeria Africa,” he said.
Speaking in exactly the same vein, DTCM’s Director of International Operations (Africa), Stella Fubara-Obinwa said Dubai Tourism was excited to be always a right section of the success of the movie premiere, in adition to that of the prior movie projects it’s been associated with, and pledged to keep to aid similar projects by EbonyLife Films among others in Nollywood within its contribution to the development of the Nigerian movie industry.
It will be recalled that Dubai Tourism was among the leading sponsors of EbonyLife Film&rsquo also; s successful &ldquo highly;Wedding Party” and its own sequel, “MARRIAGE PARTY 2: Destination Dubai” that was shot in Lagos and glamourous locations in Dubai, and became the best grossing Nollywood movie of most right time, raking in N467 million worldwide.
