Eva Air and Air New Zealand have signed a codeshare deal to expand their networks in north-east Asia and Oceania.
Passengers of both Star Alliance members could have usage of codeshare options operated by Eva Air from Taipei to major destinations in Japan and South Korea.

Passengers may also have codeshare options from Taipei to Auckland and onto major cities in New Zealand, along with Brisbane to Christchurch and Auckland, with flights operated by Air New Zealand.
From the next 1 / 2 of December 2018, passengers will be in a position to travel on the codeshare flights.
Eva Air executive vice president of corporate planning, Albert Liao, said: “The brand new codeshare agreement will strengthen Star Alliance’s flight network and provide passengers enhanced options to plan both business and leisure itineraries from Taiwan and New Zealand.
“With one particular stay in Taipei just, passengers may take benefit of Eva Air’s flexible flight schedule to fly onward to Japan and South Korea conveniently.”
The Star Alliance network offers over 18,800 daily flights to at least one 1,317 airports in 193 countries.
Air New Zealand chief network alliances and Strategy officer, Nick Judd, said: “Air New Zealand is excited to be dealing with Eva air closely, an airline well-respected searching for its customer and aircraft offering.
“This agreement with Eva Air shall leverage the strengths of every airline’s network, making travel easier and much more convenient for customers ultimately.”
