Tanzania, the East African natural resource-rich country, has endorsed a maiden rollout of electric safari vehicle at its flagship national park of Serengeti, in order to reduce emission.

At first, Mr Lebouteux had not been convinced that the technology can work in Africa completely, as may be the full case with Europe where there’s ready-made infrastructures.
“But I told myself, I possibly could try because we’ve a complete large amount of solar power that may charge the vehicles. We tried with the initial two cars in June and after four months of operation there’s neither been an individual breakdown nor service,” he explained.
“I’m satisfied, the vehicles have offered fantastic service for the guests. We will bring more five e-vehicles for safaris soon to create them seven,” Mr Lebouteux noted.
Serengeti National Park Chief Warden William Mwakilema said the e-cars have already been received by him whole-heartedly, as he believes they might help reduce a qualification of pollution.
Whereas high season between 300 and 400 tourist vehicles enter the Serengeti National Park each day, every day through the low season the flagship park handles between 80 and 100 cars.
“This technology shows us how our future activities shall decrease management costs, including maintenance and fuel of vehicles. This clean technology can help us inside our tourism and conservation activities” Mwakilema explained.
For his part, the principle Conservator for Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA), Dr Fred Manongi, underscored the necessity for the national country to embrace the e-vehicles for the advantages of conservation drive.
“As a national country, we’ve to think about adopting the technology because neither emit is performed by the automobile smoke nor noise. Pollution has been controlled completely. Inside our conservation activities we don’t like noise&rdquo and smoke; Dr Manongi said.

This technology may be the future of Tanzania as a national country, Dr Manongi said, imploring the federal government to take into account starting deploying it to lessen cost and save the surroundings gradually.
Tanzania Association of Tour Operators (TATO) Chairman, Mr Wilbard Chambulo, commended the project, saying the e-cars are good, as are economic.
“The only real challenge may be the cost as the technology is new still, however when others enter the marketplace, the price will down&rdquo go; Mr Chambulo explained.
“Considering that prices of fuel are increasing, the e-vehicles are ideal, since they shall save forex useful for importing oil. I really believe the tourism sector shall have the technology whole heartedly,” he said.
The French Embassy representative, Mr Philippe Galli, said his country was thinking about supporting French companies, especially in fighting against bad ramifications of climate change by protecting nature.
“This project is associated with saving energy. I am pleased with the French company partnering with German experts to implement this project,” noted Mr Galli who’s the relative head of Economic Department at the French Embassy in Tanzania.
He further underlined that Tanzania is seriously interested in protecting wildlife reserves and that the vehicles won’t do injury to nature or disturb animals.
“Because the relative head of Economic Department from the French Embassy, I’ll convince others from Europe and French to emulate this phenomenal initiative” Mr. Galli noted
