Thousands of visitors have turned out to watch a fleet of spectacular tall ships leave the port of Ishtechin in north-western Poland.
The vessels competed in the final stage of the 2017 Tall Ship Race which started in Sweden. Crews from all around the world participated in the competition.
The ships began their journey in Halmstad, Sweden on June 30th. They then sailed through the finish ports of Turku and Kotka and went to Lithuania before finally arriving in Ishtechin.
Ishtechin’s boardwalk was packed with spectators since the amazing ships first arrived on 4th of August. The polish city has hosted the event twice before in 2007 and 2013. This year’s top award went to the British ‘Royalist’.
