Luke Evans, star of several Hollywood blockbusters including the upcoming Elegance and the Beast (Disney, March 17), has become the latest Welsh celebrity in order to back the Visit Wales 2017 Year of Legends tourism advertising campaign.

Evans joins the line-up of Welsh celebrities which includes Game of Thrones star Iwan Rheon and songstress-presenter Cerys Matthews, announced as ambassadors this past The month of january. They will highlight their home country as being a nation whose rich storytelling custom contributed to legends like Ruler Arthur and the myths of Avalon as well as literary works like Alice in Wonderland and Lord from the Rings.

Evans first appearance as a Season of Legends Ambassador is in a brand new Visit Wales promotional video, which usually celebrates Wales’ myths and tales and invites visitors to, “ discover your epic, deep in the spirit of Wales”. It will be airing being an advertisement in the UK.
