IHC seeks Musharraf’s travel arrange for Pakistan return
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday sought the travel information on former military dictator General (r) Pervez Musharraf for his go back to Pakistan.
A two-member bench comprising Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani and Justice Amir Farooq sought the travel plan as a petition was heard because of it filed by Musharraf’s lawyer challenging the forming of a commission by way of a special court hearing the high treason case for recording statement of the former military ruler.
During the hearing, the court ordered Musharraf’s lawyer, Barrister Salman Safdar, to submit the travel details, directing him to go to Dubai and bring Musharraf back.
Further, Justice Mohsin asked the lawyer to see the bench about travel record so when Musharraf will be returning, while Justice Farooq remarked that regulations regarding an absconder is clear.
The court assured the former president’s lawyer that complete security will be provided to his client.
