In the major and long-overdue event, India’ s first integrated heliport had been opened on February 28 from Rohini in Delhi.

It is the first of four such prepared in other regions of the country.

The heliport, opened by City Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju, has the capacity to handle 150 passengers, and it has 4 hangers, parking for sixteen helicopters, and 9 parking bays.

The new facility can act as hub for north Indian native cities like Agra, Dehradun, Shimla, Mathura, and Meerut.

Tourism, as well as medical missions are usually among the things that will get a boost from your opening of these heliports. It is also likely to reduce congestion at the Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Admin Civil Aviation R N Choubey said this is part of India’ ersus national aviation policy – to improve regional connectivity.
