This year ITB Bremen has introduced a new platform in Corridor 3. 2 for medical wellness providers, as well as hotels and locations offering corresponding medical services. In the Medical Tourism Pavilion visitors will find about products and services and attend delivering presentations and workshops on the latest tendencies and developments in this growth marketplace.
Every year the Healthcare Travel Quality Alliance (MTQUA) inspects hospitals in Asia, the Middle Eastern, Europe, and North and South usa, and tests them for their experience and services in treating and taking care of people from around the world who have journeyed for medical help. The current top destinations have now been announced in ITB Berlin 2017. The Asklepios Klinik in Barmbek near Freie und hansestadt hamburg in Germany was number one, accompanied by the Clemenceau Medical Center in the Lebanese capital Beirut and the Fortis Medical center Bannerghatta in India. The other 7 hospitals offering services for healthcare tourists were in Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, Jordan, Thailand, Mexico plus Turkey.
“ We have been honoured to be able to announce these excellent hospitals to leading decision- manufacturers, experts and buyers from the worldwide travel industry at the first healthcare tourism platform at ITB Berlin“, said Julie Munro, president associated with MTQUA. “ The 2017 listing contains a number of surprises and displays the changes in this sector due to intense competition, efforts to improve high quality and higher standards, and that advantages all medical tourists. “ Apart from quality, the criteria for selecting hospitals integrated medical care and nursing, value for money, and also aspects relating to communication, ethics, openness and management.
