Lake Tourism Officials To ‘Fish Off’ On SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — When tourism spokesmen for just two top ice fishing destinations in top of the Midwest go face to face in January, there may be a whole lot at risk — their fishing lines, anyway.

Tanner Cherney at North Dakota’s Devils Joe and Lake Henry at Minnesota’s Lake of the Woods are facing off in a walleye fishing competition Jan. 3 which will be carried go on Facebook.

There’s nothing fishy about any of it. The purpose of the Walleye War would be to have just a little fun also to highlight both lakes which are popular destinations for anglers.

Henry says ice fishing is area of the regional culture, and he and Cherney intend to have a great time showcasing the activity and the lakes.

The Facebook fish-off should all be fun and games … until someone loses a walleye.
