Macau | Tourism fund splashed out MOP2.12 mln in Q2

Macau (MNA) – The Tourism Fund disbursed some MOP2.12 million (US$262,591) to 57 associations in the second quarter of this year, a dispatch in Wednesday’s Official Gazette revealed, with this year’s amount rocketing compared to MOP329,000 for the same quarter of 2017.

The dispatch reveals that the majority of beneficiaries were related to Chinese opera activities, although the Association for Talent Development in the Creative and Cultural Industries of Macao received the largest amount of subsidies – nearly half, at MOP970,000 – for hosting the 2017 Asian Carnival last year.
