(Forimmediaterelease. net) The Seychelles Tourism Board’ t (STB) office in South Africa offers recorded an increased interest in the conferences, incentives, conferences and events (MICE) market in the last year, reason why this wants to aggressively pursue this expanding segment.
The romance market is another segment which is doing perfectly on this market and the office provides attended three bridal shows because the start of 2017.

STB’ s manager for S. africa, Lena Hoareau, said they are extremely encouraged by the queries they obtain for MICE and that since the begin of 2017, the office has assisted several tour operators with location knowledge and connecting them with the proper people and companies in Seychelles.
Mrs. Hoareau mentioned Seychelles is a great destination to faucet and there is a lot of willingness on the market.
“ New visit operators are looking into introducing the particular destination where large groups are involved and we are very encouraged by the questions we get. Through our followup and support, we know that some of them who we have helped in the last three months have previously planned familiarization trips to Seychelles for destination experience and to go to the different hotels, facilities and routines on offer, ” she said.
Mrs. Hoareau was talking after the recent Meetings Africa exhibit in Johannesburg where Seychelles has been presented as an ideal destination for bonuses and meetings.
STB’ s office in South Africa combined with the national airline – Surroundings Seychelles – and met each local and international professionals through the MICE industry.
From Meetings Africa, staff of the STB office in South Africa travelled in order to Durban for the NWJ Bridal display, which is the Kwazulu Natal’ t largest wedding and function exhibit. The annual show features the particular A to Z in preparing of a wedding – from locations, cakes, wedding planners, bridal plus bridesmaids’ gowns to the ultimate honeymoon vacation destinations.
Seychelles – with its azure waters, magical sunsets and lavishness of tranquility, produced the perfect setting for honeymoon as well as the stand was one of the most frequented on the show.
Thompsons Vacations had prepared some great packages designed for Seychelles for this show which produced the Seychelles’ stand very occupied as excited couples flock to collect as much information as they can to the destination.
“ Seychelles is a destination in trend right now in all markets and though the current transformation rate of the Rand to foreign exchange can be a critical factor in decision making, this did not deter the future weds, ” said Mrs. Hoareau.
She added that the couples recognized that even if they had to invest a little more towards a honeymoon in Seychelles as opposed to some of its competitors exactly where cheaper packages are readily available, it would be worthwhile for a special occasion as important because their honeymoons.
“ There are a great number of heavily discounted packages flooding the marketplace but the majority of couples visiting our own stand made clear to us they are not looking for mundane holiday encounters but instead somewhere unique, and that will offer them a truly memorable vacation for their honeymoon.
“ Seychelles fits the bill with regard to everything they are looking for and we happily assisted with all their queries. Hopefully we can now get some firm reservations, ” said Mrs. Hoareau.
