Má rcio Favilla made it official nowadays. Today in Madrid, Mister. Favillo handed his documents in order to compete for the UNWTO Secretary Common position to current Secretary-General Taleb Rifai.
Mister. Favilla Lucca de Paula happens to be Executive Director for Competitiveness, External Relations and Partnerships in the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) located in Madrid, Spain. He has been in it since January 2010.
Through April 2007, Mr. Favilla Lucca de Paula was Vice Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) of the Secretariat of Institutional Relationships of the Presidency of Brazil.
Prior to this appointment, he or she was Brazil’ s first Vice Minister of Tourism (2003-2007) in which he played a key role in the structuring of the first exclusive Ministry associated with Tourism in Brazil.
During his term as Vice Minister of Tourism he had been actively involved in the development and execution of the 1st National Tourism Strategy and worked to increase both travel and leisure arrivals into the country as well as household tourism.
He seemed to be engaged in many of UNWTO’ s actions as Head of the Brazilian abordnung to all General Assembly and Professional Council sessions from 2003 in order to 2006, and Chairman of the UNWTO Commission for the Americas in 06.
From 1999 in order to 2002 he worked at the Ministry of Development, Industry and Global Trade as Head of the Nationwide Department for Business Registry amongst other positions.
Mister. Favilla Lucca de Paula is at Belo Horizonte from 1980 in order to 1998, first at the Development Financial institution of Minas Gerais and then their state Secretariat for Finance of Minas Gerais.
Mr. Favilla Lucca de Paula has a MOTHER in Development Studies from the Start of Social Studies, The Hague, Netherlands, where he specialized in Regional Growth Planning (1985-1986). He obtained their undergraduate degree in Economics in the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1979).
