The initiative aims to provide free electronic education to more than 50 million students in the Arab world through the contributions of thousands of volunteers in the region.
Through the initiative’s ‘translation challenge’, volunteers are challenged to translate 11 million words and produce 5,000 videos in one year.
This includes creating 417 videos a month, 105 videos a week and 21 videos a day.
The initiatives’ first phase will include transforming 5,000 videos into text and translating 11 million words.
The second phase will include translating the test, followed by the third phase: aligning the translated text to the Arabic curriculum. The forth phase will include producing 5,000 educational videos in the Arabic language.
