The advisory was given due to icy road conditions, near zero visibility and accumulating snow. A no travel advisory for Stutsman County was issued by Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser earlier on Monday. A no travel advisory remains in effect for areas of northwest, central and southeast North Dakota, including: Williston, Watford City, Crosby, Bowbells, Stanley, Minot, Parshall, Garrison, Harvey, Bismarck, Underwood, Steele, Linton, Wishek, Ashley, Edgeley, Oakes and the surrounding areas.
A travel alert remain in effect for Fargo, Grand Forks and the areas surrounding those cities.
Additional snowfall and continued strong winds are likely to make travel hazardous for the rest of Monday night and possibly into Tuesday.
