The African Union-endorsed candidate for the post of Admin General of the United Nations World Travel and leisure Organisation – UNWTO – Dr Walter Mzembi, Zimbabwe’ s Minister of Tourism as well as the Hospitality Industry, and the current Chairperson of the UNWTO Regional Commission just for Africa, is set to formally release his candidature at a landmark wedding reception event to be held in This town, Spain on 19 January, 2017.
The UNWTO offers its Headquarters in Madrid.
Invited guests include associates of all UNWTO Member States, the particular Secretary General of the UNWTO and everything Executive Directors of the Organisation, in addition to senior representatives of the Spanish Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Travel and leisure.

Dr Mzembi has served as Zimbabwe’ ersus Minister of Tourism and the Food Industry since 2009. Just before that, he held various jobs in both the public and private industries in Zimbabwe and internationally – including heading the Zimbabwe delegation to the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly for three consecutive years.
He has represented his nation on the UNWTO Executive Council and it is currently serving his second consecutive term as Chairperson of the UNWTO’ s Regional Commission for The african continent.
