Qatari investments in Jordan providing a significant prop to the national economy, Jordan’s Minister of State for Investment Affairs Muhannad Shehadeh has said.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency, the Jordanian minister said the Qatari authorities want in implementing projects in the tourism and energy sectors in the kingdom.
He praised the distinguished relations between Amman and Doha which should be tapped to create more economic and trade advantages to the Jordanian and Qatari people.
He said both sides are discussing ideas and projects in the transport and health sectors and so are currently preparing a package of available projects in both of these sectors.
In June, Qatar pledged support to Jordan by giving 10,000 jobs for Jordanians in the national country, in addition to a package of investments targeting infrastructure projects worth $500 million.
