Sater responds to tourism budget restrictions

Calling tourism, “An economic engine of our state,” Missouri State Sen. David Sater (R) responded to an announcement from Missouri Governor Eric Greitens on the withholding of $10 million from Missouri’s tourism funding.

“Tourism is one of the economic engines of our state,” Sater, who serves on both the Senate Appropriations Committee and the Missouri Tourism Commission, said in a news release. “It employs over 300,000 people in Missouri and generates far more revenue than we spend on it. We should be doubling down on tourism, not cutting it.”
