Heavy snow and changing weather conditions create hazardous driving conditions.
Because of the heavy snow blanketing the area, Ontario County Sheriff Philip Povero has issued a “no unnecessary travel advisory” for the county until further notice.
Hazardous driving conditions exist so drivers are asked to stay home unless absolutely necessary.
The restriction, which was issued early this morning, is not mandatory, Povero said.
If motorists are required to drive on roads in the county, they are urged to do so with caution because of changing weather conditions.
