First responders were on the scene after a B737-700 of Southwest Airlines jet made an emergency landing at Philadelphia International Airport.
The flight was on the way from New York LGA to Dallas, TX when the left engine exploded, injured a passenger when causing a serious emergency and landing in Philadelphia.
One person was transported from the scene to the hospital. No word on their condition.
Rumors are an engine exploded. It was a major incident, but details are not yet known. Rumors say some of the cockpit is destroyed.
The flight had 50 mph winds & some incredibly turbulent moments. I feel so nauseous and like I’m going to throw up any second But I still want to kiss the feet of the SouthwestAir pilot who got us home, was another tweet.
