DIGICEL Fiji has again shown its support for a premier tourism event in Fiji by providing free internet access to participants.
The company yesterday announced its sponsorship of the 2017 Fiji Tourism Expo (FTE) through providing access to free Wi-Fi for all participants attending the event.
Digicel Fiji chief executive officer Darren McLean said in a statement yesterday that they were delighted to support Tourism Fiji and the FTE.
“We recognise the importance of an event like this on the annual Tourism Fiji calendar,” he said.
“We are confident that we have the best product to meet the demands of our tourism industry stakeholders and international buyers.
“We will once again sponsor free high-speed Wi-Fi to international delegates, media and the Fijian tourism industry operators for the three-day FTE so that everyone stays connected to their business, family and friends.”
Mr McLean added that the FTE attracted international buyers who had multiple devices and were heavily dependent on top class internet connectivity.
“Digicel is committed to providing participants access to Fiji’s fastest data network,” he stated.
Digicel, which will also have a sales and display booth at the FTE, has been a major partner of the tourism event since the inaugural expo in 2014.
The FTE will be held at the Denarau Island Convention Centre, Sheraton Fiji from tomorrow and Friday.
