Swissbrand targets travel retail with its luggage and accessories

Panama-based lifestyle brand Swissbrand, which specialises in luggage and travel bags, is collaborating with duty free consultant Walter Aguilar to spearhead development plans in travel retail.

Swissbrand Vice President Global Sales Richard Sosnoff said the Regency Group-owned brand is in the process of opening its first travel retail accounts in Latin America with ‘top-level’ operators.

“Although, travel retail is a newly integrated channel for Swissbrand, the Regency Group has the retail DNA which helps us to understand the dynamics between a brand owner and the retailer,” Sosnoff said.

“Our management team is committed to focusing on travel retail and hopes to have a presence by the end of 2018 or the first half of 2019.”

With corporate headquarters in Panama City, and offices in Italy (Florence) and China (Guangzhou), Sosnoff said Swissbrand was focusing on three major regions: the Americas, Europe and Asia.
