Tourism can rake in millions for Mashonaland Central – Bulawayo24 News
In years gone, white mountaineers used to come and camp at the foot of Bare Hill and would stays for weeks climbing up to its pinnacle. Locals from Madzamba, Bare area and Chinehasha would come to watch this spectacle.
It was a pleasure to watch. With devolution in mind, surely such places could be turned into cash cows through tourism. Beautiful lodges at the foothills and a modern golf course is all it needs to attract monied visitors.
The nearby Ruya Dam at Chinehasha Village could become a ‘boating and rowing’ hot spot raking in the much needed foreign currency. Devolution is a blessing for the provinces that can prod the ‘tigers of development and progress’ I urge our village heads to start talking loudly on developing the locality.
Mash. Central has the potential to lead for the rest to follow. Our wonderful farmers can play a pivotal role in uplifting our areas.
Those responsible for the development and repair of rural roads must urgently attend to the Mukunyadzi, Chinehasha to Chidewu road up to Chaona. The new dispensation is bringing in new buses, we do not want to lose out.
Thomas Murisa. Chinehasha.
