ATHENS – Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura met with her Egyptian counterpart Rania Al-Mashat and the Minister of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Cyprus Giorgos Laktorpipis within the framework of the International ITB Tourism Fair in Berlin.
During the meeting, they examined the possibilities for joint initiatives to further developing the cruise and sea tourism following the signing of the Greece, Egypt and Cyprus Protocol of Cooperation in November 2017 in the context of the 5th Summit of the three countries.

In particular, the three ministers explored the possibilities for cooperation in the development of combined cruise routes to ports of the three countries, as well as the creation of tourist packages that will combine cruise with accommodation and visits to destinations. They also discussed the prospects for tripartite cooperation to boost and further develop tourism in the Eastern Mediterranean as a whole.
