Travel deals of the Week: June 24-30
Sometimes when we need a little travel inspiration, we look to the lives of our favourite celebs. Sometimes we want to breathe the same air, sleep in the same resort, or just live it up for a few days in the same way that they do. This week’s travel deals are to destinations loved, or recently visited, by some of Canada’s most notable celebrities.
Toronto to Turks and Caicos, $539 roundtrip
After rooting hard for the Raptors all season, Mr. Champagne Papi took a break and headed to the white sand beaches of the Turks and Caicos Islands. You may not be able to stay at the private island resort of COMO Parrot Cay; however, you can fly roundtrip from Toronto to Providenciales on American Airlines for $539. And, since Drake is working on an album while in that Caribbean country, who knows, you may just run into him.
Montreal to Naples, $1,009 roundtrip.
Recently spotted on Italy’s Amalfi Coast was the spawn of Goldie Hawn, Kate Hudson. Now, we know that Kate’s not Canadian, but because her mother has owned a summer cottage in Muskoka for years, we will give her a free Canadian pass. Vacation like Kate and her infant daughter Rani Rose by exploring the Amalfi Coast by boat. Vancouver to Toronto, $472 roundtrip
Vancouverite and one half of the Property Brothers Drew Scott was spotted at the NBA finals in Toronto with his gorgeous wife, Linda Phan. Though Drew and Linda now live in L.A., those of us with friends and family in B.C. can attest, going there or having them come to visit can be very expensive. Especially when you don’t have access to a Property Brothers-level expense account. Enter Flair Airlines to the rescue! The low-cost carrier has a seven-day, roundtrip fare for under $500! What’s the catch you ask? Checked and carry-on bags (yes, carry-on) come at an additional cost.
Toronto to Los Angeles, $377 roundtrip
Speaking of Vancouverites in L.A., Seth Rogen’s GQ cover shoot that took place across multiple locations in Los Angeles is still causing an uproar online. Both men and women can’t seem to get over just how good he looked! Shout out to the shoot’s stylist, GQ Fashion Director Mobolaji Dawodu. What you’ll save by purchasing this very affordable ticket to L.A., you can spend in high-end stores so that you too can recreate Seth’s hot looks.
Montreal to Las Vegas, $466
Sadly, you’ll no longer be able to see Celine’s residency in Las Vegas. However, with this affordable fare from WestJet, you can head to the city where she performed 427 shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace and retrace her steps and hot up some of her favourite haunts.
