UNWTO statement on US travel prohibit

UNWTO declaration on US travel ban (Forimmediaterelease. net) The World Travel and leisure Organization (UNWTO), the United Nations Specific Agency for Tourism, expresses the deep concern and strong disapproval over the recently announced travel prohibit by the United States of America (USA) to nationals of seven countries (Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia plus Yemen).

The travel prohibit, based on nationality, is contrary to the particular principles of freedom of vacation and travel facilitation promoted with the international tourism community and will impede the immense benefits of the travel and leisure sector brings in terms of financial growth and job creation to a lot of countries, including the USA.
