UP supplementary budget gives boost to tourism, infrastructure
LUCKNOW: The state government tabled a supplementary budget of Rs 13,594 crore in UP assembly on Tuesday, signifying emphasis on infrastructure development with allocations for Bundelkhand expressway, Poorvanchal expressway and Ganga expressway. The government also gave budgetary thrust to development of Ayodhya and Vindhyachal to boost religious tourism in state.
The supplementary demands for current 2019-20 financial year were tabled by finance minister Rajesh Agrawal in presence of CM Adityanath.
The government had tabled annual budget 2019-20 of Rs 4.79 lakh crore on February 7. The supplementary budget is presented when the general budget is not enough for government schemes.
