Canada on Thursday revised a travel advisory they had implemented on Pakistan.
According to The News, the Canadian government removed Islamabad from their set of cities to “avoid non-essential travel” to. The federal government of Canada’s website implies that Islamabad’s status has been reduced to “Exercise a higher amount of caution”, the next lowest level. The High Commission of Canada in Pakistan made an identical announcement on the Facebook page also.
The travel advisories are put into four risk levels – (1) Exercise normal security precautions, (2) Exercise a higher amount of caution, (3) Avoid non-essential travel, and (4) Avoid all travel.
Canada’s global affairs department revised the travel advisory for Pakistan after observing that there’s been a reduction in risk level for Canadians going to the Pakistani capital. The High Commission encouraged Canadian authorities to revise the advisory following the security situation over the national country improved.
Canada in addition has said that further steps will undoubtedly be used light of the improving security situation in Pakistan.
