Spirit Airlines, Inc. declared today the addition of Richard F. Wallman to its Board of Directors, with his appointment taking effect on July 16, 2024.
Mr. Wallman held the position of Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President at Honeywell International Inc., a diversified industrial technology and manufacturing company, as well as its predecessor AlliedSignal, from March 1995 to July 2003. Before that, he occupied senior financial roles at IBM and Chrysler Corporation. Presently, he serves as a board member of CECO Environmental Corp., Charles River Laboratories International, Inc., and Roper Technologies, Inc. Mr. Wallman earned his Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University and his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business.
H. McIntyre “Mac” Gardner, Spirit’s Chairman of the Board, expressed his satisfaction in welcoming Richard Wallman to the board. Gardner highlighted Wallman’s extensive expertise in financial management, corporate development, and his valuable experience serving on various public and private company boards. Wallman’s addition is expected to greatly benefit the Spirit management team.
