Boeing and Aviation Capital Group LLC (ACG) have revealed today that the aircraft lessor has completed a deal for 35 737 MAX aircraft, consisting of 16 737-8 and 19 of the larger 737-10 variant. With this latest acquisition, ACG’s total 737 MAX order now stands at 82, as the company expands its fleet to cater to the rising demand for eco-friendly airplanes.

Boeing 737-8 has the capacity to accommodate a maximum of 210 passengers depending on the configuration, covering a distance of 3,500 nautical miles (6,480 km). On the other hand, the 737-10, which is the biggest model in the 737 MAX series and boasts the most efficient per-seat economics among all single-aisle aircraft, can seat up to 230 passengers and has a range of 3,100 nautical miles (5,740 km). These two variants both offer a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and carbon emissions compared to the aircraft they are replacing.

Each 737 MAX, on average, reduces up to eight million pounds of CO2 emissions per year and boasts a quieter operation, with a noise footprint that is 50% smaller than its predecessor aircraft.
