Canadian North and Air Greenland unveiled an innovative travel opportunity that connects the realms of culture, business, and tourism between Greenland and Canada.
During the period of June 26 to October 23 this summer, Air Greenland and Canadian North have scheduled direct interline flights every Wednesday connecting Nuuk, the capital of Greenland, with Iqaluit, the capital of Nunavut. Travellers from Montreal, Kuujjuaq, and Ottawa will now have the convenience of same-day service to and from Nuuk through Iqaluit, providing a seamless way to experience the enchanting beauty of Greenland.
With a single ticket purchase, travelers can now embark on a seamless journey through Greenland, Southern Canada, Nunavut, and Nunavik, thanks to the exciting interline partnership between Canadian North and Air Greenland. This collaboration builds upon the 2022 agreement between Nunavut and Greenland, which aims to foster cooperation in various domains such as culture, education, fisheries, and green energy, ultimately facilitating improved mobility. As a result, the launch of this route signifies a significant step towards enhancing Arctic connectivity, enabling passengers to travel directly between Northern Canada and Greenland without the need to travel southward beforehand.
