Civitatis, a marketplace for tours and activities in Spanish, announced the appointment of Juan Rossello as the new Business Development Manager for the United States.
In addition to his new role as Business Development Manager for the USA, Rossello will continue to serve as the Country Manager for Mexico, expanding his responsibilities to include Business Development for the U.S. and Central America.
According to the United Nations, over 42 million people in the United States are proficient in Spanish. The Instituto Cervantes projects that by 2060, the U.S. will become the second-largest Spanish-speaking country in the world, after Mexico, with 28% of its population being of Hispanic origin. Spanish is also the third most widely used language on the internet and the second most prevalent on social media and other digital platforms.
